Lia Patrício is Associate Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Porto, where she is director of the Master in Service Engineering and Management. Her research focuses on service design and customer experience, particularly the design of technology enabled services and complex service systems and value networks. She has coordinated the project for designing the Portuguese National Health Record service and is the Principal Investigator of the Service Design for Innovation Marie Curie Network. She is member of the editorial board of the Journal of Service Research and Service Science Journal. Her research has been published in several Journals such as the Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Management, Engineering Design Journal and Touchpoint.
Jorge Grenha Teixeira / University Porto, Faculty of Engineering
Jorge Grenha Teixeira is a researcher and teaching assistant of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Porto. He holds a B.Sc in Economics, a M.Sc in Service Management and Engineering and a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Porto. He has worked in several research projects related with healthcare and innovative multimedia services. His research interests are in the field of technology-enabled services, with a special focus on customer experience, service design and interaction design.

Management Activities:Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto ( 1990-95); Chairman or Vice-Chairman of IDMEC – R & D non profit private Research Institute, from 1990 till February 2011. Project Management: consortium leader of several European and nationally funded projects. President of Mechanical Engineering chapter of the Society of Portuguese Engineers 1995-1998; Member of TGS8 Panel –Coal and Steel Research Programme, since 2009. Publications : 71 international papers ( SCOPUS database ).
Birgit Mager / Cologne University of Applied Sciences
Since 1995 Birgit Mager holds the first European professorship on “Service Design” at the University of Applied Sciences Cologne, Germany. Her numerous lectures, her publications and her projects have strongly supported the implementation of a new understanding of the economical, ecological and social function of design in the domain of services.

Bo Edvardsson (Bo.Edvardsson@kau.se) is Professor and Founder, CTF-Service Research Center and Vice Rector, Karlstad University, Sweden. In 2008, he received the RESER Award Commendation for lifetime achievement to scholarship by The European Association for Service Research and in 2004 The AMA Career Contributions to the Services Discipline Award. 2013 Bo was appointed Distinguished Faculty Fellow of the Center for Excellence in Service, University of Maryland and Honorary Distinguished Professor of Service Management, EGADE Business School, Monterrey Tech, Mexico.
Bård Tronvoll / Karlstad University, CTF
Bård Tronvoll is Professor of Marketing at Hedmark University College, Norway and at CTF-Service Research Center at Karlstad University, Sweden. He is also a senior distinguished researcher at HANKEN School of Economics, Finland. Tronvoll is a member of the editorial advisory board at Journal of Service Management and his work has been published in journals such as Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Service Management and Marketing Theory. His research interests include theoretical foundation of service research, service innovation, service eco-systems customer complaining behaviour/service recovery and service marketing. Stefan Holmlid / Linköping University
Stefan Holmlid is Associate Professor in Interaction and Service Design at Linköping University, the director of the Design Research Center at the university, and also partner of the Swedish Faculty for Design Research. His research starts out with the power of designers and users, especially concerning expressive powers of design methods and techniques in service development and innovation, as well as design and value-in-use.
Dominik Mahr / Maastricht University, Service Science Factory
Dominik Mahr is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management of the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University. His research interests are in open innovation, customer co-creation, digital media, knowledge creation, services management, and strategic marketing. His research has been published in journals such as Journal of Service Research, MIS Quarterly, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Research Policy, Journal of Retailing, BMJ Quality & Safety, Health Policy, Consumer Needs and Solutions, and Journal of Service Management. Prior to his academic career, he worked for several years in different management and marketing consultancies, operating in industries such as high tech, automotive, real estate, and insurance.
Gaby Odekerken / Maastricht University, Service Science Factory
Gaby Odekerken-Schröder is a Professor in Customer-Centric Service Science at Maastricht University. She is the Scientific Director of Maastricht University’s SSF, the place where academia meets business to create innovative services, and she is the Vice-Chair of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management of Maastricht University. Her main research fields are services and relationship marketing. Her research has been published in Journal of Marketing,MISQ, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, International Marketing Review, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Consumer Marketing and many other international journals. She is passionate about developing high quality courses for Bachelor, Master, PhD and executive candidates.
Daniela Sangiorgi / Politecnico di Milano
PhD in Design, Daniela is Associate Professor at the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. She has been one of the first researchers investigating the area of Service Design and she was part of the first team of people who initiated the international Service Design Network. She worked for eight years at the research group Imagination at Lancaster University (http://imagination.lancs.ac.uk). Her research theme is the role of design in the development of services, with a particular focus on public sector innovation. She is currently exploring links and contributions of Design in the Service Science debate and the Service Logic framework. She is a member of the International Society of Service Innovation Professionals (ISSIP) and a committee member of the Service Design and Innovation conference (ServDes). She is now coordinating the Politecnico di Milano contribution to a European Training Network on the topic of Service Design for Innovation (http://www.servicedesignforinnovation.eu).
